Marsden Park North Master Plan

Marsden Park North is a new precinct planned for Sydney’s North West Growth Area. It is approximately 12 kilometres from Blacktown CBD and 20 kilometres from Parramatta CBD.

The Department of Planning and Environment, in collaboration with Blacktown City Council, has prepared a draft masterplan for the Marsden Park North precinct. This plan will guide the future rezoning and development of this new precinct from the ground up. The precinct is located within the proposed new suburbs of Angus, Vineyard and Marsden Park.

The masterplan includes:

  • Three new local centres with shops, cafes and community facilities
  • A commercial area
  • Thirteen new playing fields
  • New footpaths and cycleways throughout the community
  • Several new parks and environmental conservation areas
  • A potential green grid throughout the area
  • A range of homes to meet the needs of a new and diverse community.

New opportunities for wading bird habitat is proposed to the east of the old effluent management ponds of the meatworks. These new ponds will be located away from future residents and will be established before the existing ponds are removed.

The draft plan is being exhibited for community feedback until 19 October
