Georges River: Guidelines for better practice in foreshore works
The Guidelines for Better Practice in Foreshore Works provide an ecologically sustainable approach to the management of lands along the foreshores of the Georges River and its tributaries. They provide a review of existing and emerging methods, techniques and practices in planning and implementing river foreshore and related improvement works. It has drawn on a number of separate studies in the catchment including studies of the cultural heritage and biodiversity as well as the built environment and public access along the foreshores of the waterways itself.
The guidelines address a range of issues relevant to foreshore works including those relating to strategic planning, site planning and works and ecological rehabilitation.
