Neighbourhood centres can be improved using exempt and complying development planning pathways to simplify the approval process.

Local centres contain a range of retail, business, entertainment and community facilities for residents, workers and visitors. This is where you find your local cafe, barber shop or dentist.

The State Environmental Planning Policy (Exempt and Complying Development Codes) 2008 covers exempt and complying development planning pathways.
