Penalty Notices issued to Richard Crookes Constructions Pty Ltd

On 27 April 2021, the Department issued two (2) $15,000 Penalty Notices to Richard Crookes Constructions Pty Ltd (RCC) for failure to comply with the approved construction hours at the Western Sydney University Innovation Hub. RCC permitted construction works to occur outside of approved hours on 1 and 2 February 2021 until 9 pm on both days, causing noise disturbances to neighbouring residents.  Compliance with approved construction hours helps to minimise the impact on surrounding residents and protect the amenity of the area. The company has since taken corrective action to minimise risk of reoccurrence and ensure compliance with conditions of consent.

Official Caution issued to Ballyhooly Civil Pty Ltd

On 26 April 2021, the Department issued an Official Caution to Ballyhooly Civil Pty Ltd (BH Civil) for carrying out development at the site known as the Argus Lane Compound for the Parramatta Light Rail Stage 1 project without relevant development approval being issued by the Department. Development approvals are vital to the planning system to ensure conditions of approval are implemented to mitigate the risk of developments to adversely impact on the environment, human health and the amenity of NSW local communities. BH Civil has worked with the Project to remedy the breach and reduce impacts on the community.

Official Caution issued to Richard Crookes Constructions Pty Ltd

On 27 April 2021, the Department issued an Official Caution to Richard Crookes Constructions Pty Ltd (RCC) for failure to comply with the approved construction hours at the Marsden Park Warehousing Estate development.  RCC permitted construction related deliveries to occur at the development on 3 December 2020, from approximately 6am, causing noise disturbance to neighbouring residents.  Compliance with approved construction hours helps to minimise the impact on surrounding residents and protect the amenity of the area.  RCC has since taken corrective action to minimise risk of reoccurrence to ensure compliance with conditions of consent.
