Fire Safety Order issued to UNSW College of Fine Arts (CoFA) Campus, Paddington NSW

On 5 April 2023, NSW Planning issued Fire Safety Orders to the owners of UNSW College of Fine Arts (CoFA) Campus, Paddington NSW, to remove identified external wall panels on the building consisting of Aluminium Composite Panels (ACP). ACP is combustible and poses a fire safety risk. The owners are required to replace the identified ACP with a non-combustible product as well as implement other fire safety measures and provide an inspection report issued by an accredited certifier, certifying that the replacement panels and method of installation comply with the Building Code of Australia. The owners are required to implement fire safety measures to reduce the fire safety risks associated with the cladding until the rectification work is complete.
Penalty Notice issued to ACE Civil Pty Ltd

On 11 April 2023, NSW Planning issued a $15,000 Penalty Notice to ACE Civil Pty Ltd for conducting rock hammering/rock breaking activities during the stipulated respite period at the residential development currently under construction at 89 John Whiteway Dr Gosford, in contravention of the development consent. ACE Civil has committed to improving its procedures to prevent a reoccurrence.
Official Caution issued to Built Pty Limited

On 3 April 2022, NSW Planning issued an Official Caution to Built Pty Limited for operating two diesel generators outside of the approved construction hours at the Western Sydney University - Bankstown City Campus. The use of the diesel generators has now ceased.
