Official Caution issued to Rex J. Andrews Pty Limited

On 12 April 2024, NSW Planning issued an Official Caution to Rex J. Andrews Pty Limited (Rex Andrews) by storing, loading, and/or unloading cargo in the expansion area of the Mayfield Cargo Facility prior to the site being remediated as required by the consent. Rex Andrews is in the process of removing cargo stored in the expansion areas and NSW Planning will continue to monitor the site.

Fire Safety Order issued to 45 Macquarie Street, Parramatta

On 15 April 2024, NSW Planning issued Fire Safety Orders to the owners of 45 Macquarie Street, Parramatta to remove identified external wall panels on the building consisting of Aluminium Composite Panels (ACP). ACP is combustible and poses a fire safety risk. The owners are required to replace the identified ACP with a non-combustible product as well as implement other fire safety measures and provide an inspection report issued by an accredited certifier, certifying that the replacement panels and method of installation comply with the Building Code of Australia. The owners are required to implement fire safety measures to reduce the fire safety risks associated with the cladding until the rectification work is complete.
