Penalty Notice issued to NSW Department of Education

(SSD-8378) Camden LGA

On 4 December 2024, NSW Planning issued a $15,000 Penalty Notice to the Department of Education (DoE) for failing to undertake a Road Safety Evaluation (RSE) on all relevant sections of road utilised for bus and private vehicle drop-off and pickup within three months of commencement of operation of Gledswood Hills Public School. DoE have subsequently completed the RSE and submitted the report to NSW Planning.

Official Cautions issued to NSW Department of Education

On 4 December 2024, NSW Planning issued two (2) Official Cautions to the Department of Education (DoE) for failing to submit a noise monitoring report for Stage 1 within six months of commencement of operation and failing to conduct an operational Independent Audit (IA) within 52 weeks of commencement of operation of Gledswood Hills Public School. DoE have subsequently completed and submitted the required reports to NSW Planning.

Penalty Notice issued to Boral Resources (NSW) Pty Ltd

(DA140-6-2005) Port Stephens LGA

On 20 December 2024, NSW Planning issued a $15,000 Penalty Notice to Boral Resources (NSW) Pty Ltd for failing to implement the Stockton Quarry Groundwater Monitoring Program in 2023, as required under the Stockton Quarry Soil and Water Management Plan. Boral Resources (NSW) Pty Ltd are reviewing their management plans and have recently engaged the services of a hydrologist to assist with their groundwater monitoring, ensuring compliance with the management plan.
