Penalty Notice issued to Richard Crookes Constructions Pty Ltd (SSD-9670, City of Parramatta LGA)

On 3 August 2021, the Department issued a $15,000 Penalty Notice to Richard Crookes Constructions Pty Ltd (RCC) for failing to comply with approved construction hours. RCC carried out construction works from approximately 7am to 4pm on Sunday, 20 June 2021 at the Western Sydney University Innovation Hub . The approved construction hours are ‘between 7:00am and 6pm, Mondays to Fridays inclusive; and (b) between 8:00am and 15:00 pm, Saturdays. No work may be carried out on Sundays or public holidays’. This work impacted the amenity of neighbouring residents and resulted in complaints to the Department. The Department will continue to monitor compliance with approved construction hours.
