Penalty Notice issued to Sunterra Energy Pty Ltd

On 1 May 2024, NSW Planning issued a Penalty Notice for $15000 to Sunterra Energy Pty Ltd, for failing to comply with conditions of consent for the Wollar Solar Farm development for not implementing the Cultural Heritage Management Plan. The company has since engaged, consulted and worked with the Local Aboriginal Council, implementing feedback from LAC and has updated the Cultural Heritage Management Plan. The company has also delivered additional Aboriginal Cultural Awareness training, in consultation with the Local Aboriginal Land Council, to contractors and subcontractors.
Penalty Notice issued to Concrush Pty Limited

On 30 May 2024, NSW Planning issued a $15,000 Penalty Notice to Concrush Pty Limited for failing to carry out development in accordance with development consent for the Concrush Resource Recycling Facility Expansion development, by commencing Stage 1 operations prior to the construction of a concrete noise wall on the eastern and southern perimeters of the 'raw material stockpiles and processing area'. Concrush is now preparing a modification report to, in part, rectify this non-compliance.
