Regional Housing Strategic Planning Fund

Overview

  • Applications for round 1 were open from 25 August 2022 to 30 September 2022.
  • The original funding available for round 1 was up to $3 million. Due to strong interest and a high volume of applications, this was increased to up to $4 million.
  • Round 1 provided $3.9 million to fund 20 projects across 19 regional councils.
  • Projects funded in round 1 included a broad range of planning strategies, planning proposals, technical studies, design guidance and infrastructure contributions plans to help support and accelerate new housing supply.
  • Round 1 projects will support the delivery of approximately 40,000 homes.
