Penalty Notices issued to Richard Crookes Constructions Pty Ltd (SSD-9670 as modified, City of Parramatta LGA)

On 27 April 2021, the Department issued two (2) $15,000 Penalty Notices to Richard Crookes Constructions Pty Ltd (RCC) for failure to comply with the approved construction hours at the Western Sydney University Innovation Hub. RCC permitted construction works to occur outside of approved hours on 1 and 2 February 2021 until 9 pm on both days, causing noise disturbances to neighbouring residents.  Compliance with approved construction hours helps to minimise the impact on surrounding residents and protect the amenity of the area. The company has since taken corrective action to minimise risk of reoccurrence and ensure compliance with conditions of consent.
