The NSW State Design Review Panel (SDRP) includes a team of state government design champions and 6 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander members with expertise in design and Aboriginal cultural heritage to promote opportunities to Design with Country.

Michael is an architect and Professor of Architecture at The University of Sydney School of Architecture, Design and Planning. He is currently a Research Grants Council of Hong Kong Independent External Expert to the Humanities and Social Sciences Panel.

Matthew is a Director of Taylor Brammer Landscape Architects. He is an experienced landscape architect and heritage architect with over 37 years’ experience, both overseas and in Australia. He has particular interest in heritage and placemaking.

Annie is Director of Design at Placemaking NSW with deep experience in large scale precinct regeneration. She is a passionate advocate of inclusion, designing with Country, design excellence and creating more sustainable places.

David leads the urban design team at Hassell, with experience leading a range of city-shaping master planning and urban design projects in Australia, Asia and North America. For him, great urban design has inclusion and resilience at its heart.

Peter is a Principal at BVN, one of Australia’s largest and acclaimed architectural practices, where he has worked for over 14 years leading teams across a broad spectrum of sectors including public, educational, health, research projects and multi-residential housing.

Hannah founded Tribe Studio Architects in 2003. In her role as Principal, she leads the creative and strategic direction of the team and remains hands-on in all projects at critical design phases. She is actively involved in the promotion and development of the profession.

Bill joined Blacktown City Council as its first City Architect in 2015 and was appointed a Director Transformational Design in 2018. His public and private sector experience includes infrastructure, public space, commercial and residential projects.

Mark is founder and director of multidisciplinary design firm TYRRELLSTUDIO and Adjunct Professor at the University of Technology Sydney. He holds degrees in architecture, landscape architecture and urban design, and works at the junction of these disciplines.

Judy is Director of KI Studio and a registered landscape architect and planner and an urban designer with over 35 years’ experience in private practice. She is a Churchill Fellow and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects.
State Government Design Champion
Tanya is part of the Place and Urban Design team at Transport NSW working across planning policy and projects. She is an urban designer with 25 years' experience in the greenfield development, housing, public domain and transport.

Ché is a Director of Flux Consultants. He provides strategic and expert advice to governments and the private sector on the delivery of improved sustainability in the built environment, including climate change mitigation, passive design, and design for health and amenity.

Paul is a Principal at Atlas Urban. He has over 20 years’ experience in urban design and architecture, including work for Government Architect NSW as well as in the private sector and as an expert to the NSW Land and Environment Court.

Peter was the inaugural Director of Sydney Living Museums. He is an architect and landscape architect with a particular expertise in building, landscape and garden conservation as well as cultural infrastructure and the public realm.
