People – North Coast Regional Plan 2041
The North Coast region provides a diversity of lifestyles – some seek the coastal townships and cities, while others enjoy the hinterlands.

Housing – North Coast Regional Plan 2041
We expect that over the next 20 years we will need a minimum of 41,300 extra homes to meet the needs of the growing population.

Subregions
The regional plan retains a strong emphases on settlement planning for housing and employment and includes planning principles for local strategies and settlement planning guidelines.

Places for growth
We expect Port Macquarie, Coffs Harbour and Tweed Heads to accommodate much of the region’s future population growth and deliver a wide range of job opportunities, housing, education and health services.

Economy – Riverina Murray Regional Plan 2041
The Riverina Murray is a prosperous region. Its premium agricultural land allows for a highly diversified economy. Irrigated agriculture remains significant, particularly in the west of the region.

Communities and places
The regional plan acknowledges that Aboriginal people share a unique bond to Country – a bond forged through thousands of years travelling across the region’s lands and waterways for ceremony, trading and seasonal migration.

Environment – Riverina Murray Regional Plan 2041
The Riverina Murray’s diverse environment is shaped around its waterways, many of which are protected for their biodiversity values and for residents and visitors to enjoy.

Riverina Murray Regional Plan 2041
The Riverina Murray region sits entirely within the Murray Darling Basin. Located along the Victorian border, it contains vast waterways and river systems and is one of the country’s most productive agricultural regions.

Making it happen – Riverina Murray Regional Plan 2041
The regional plan will be implemented by the Department of Planning and Environment working with councils, state agencies, the Riverina Murray Regional Leadership Executive (RLE) and the community.

South East and Tablelands
The exhibition for the draft South East and Tablelands Regional Plan 2041 is closed after extensive consultation with the community and stakeholders.
